Cardigan

Technically, any knitted sweater or shrug with an open front is known as a cardigan. Originally the name was given after the 7th Earl of Cardigan, James Brudenell. The style of the cardigan was inspired by the British officers’ waistcoats they used to wear during wars. With constant improvisations, cardigans nowadays have multiple variations. From sleeves to colors, fashionable experiments are being done with every possible thing related to cardigans.
